Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts teaches students how to prepare nutritious foods that look and taste good. Classes teach budding chefs food safety techniques, how to make stocks, how to slice and dice properly, and food terminology among many other things. Students work with instructors who are successful chefs. Advanced students gain experience working in restaurants, either those that are student-run or in private eateries.
The school offers certificates and associate degrees in culinary arts, and baking and pastries. It also offers a bachelor’s degree in culinary management, and associates in culinary operations and hospitality and restaurant management. Online classes also are offered.
A certificate program runs about a year while the associate’s program takes about two years.
